Thank you for joining me at my Tide of Life blog.
I love taking pictures and was a professional photographer for over fifteen years. My photography career blossomed out of my studies in aging at Stanford University.
My photography interest was solidified during a college internship in England where I learned
about the National Health Service, Alzheimer's dementia, and how health professionals provide care for older seniors in their homes.
The work in this blog also represents my working knowledge of managing small assisted lving care residences for 11 years in San Diego. During these years, I learned how to manage caregiving staff and create facilities that provided not only safety, supervision and personal care but also created closeknit relationships for the seniors and caregivers. I was inspired to provide outstanding care in beautiful homelike environments.
I currently work as a community liaison for a San Diego hospice company. I continue my work with the small residential care homes as I visit administrators and owners of these care homes. I promote the high quality hospice care that preserves the beauty of seniors during their last phase of life.
